The Gozo Tourism Association has said that on behalf of the Gozitan tourism sector, it welcomes the Memorandum of Understanding [1] which has been signed between the Governments of Malta and China.
The Gozo Tourism Association went on to say that it believes that this is the beginning of new developments within Enemalta and obviously in the production of energy and that such developments will bring about positive results that the tourism sector, especially on Gozo, will benefit from.
The Gozo Tourism Association added that is looking forward to the implementation of this agreement, which will be opening up many opportunities in the energy sector for the Maltese Islands.
“The Gozitan tourism establishments also hope that this new direction at Enemalta will bring about a change that they will gain from, especially from the energy bill, which is a cost that is seriously eroding the tourism establishments profitability,” the GTA concluded.
