This afternoon an Australian man in his late forties, who was suffering from chest pain, was assisted by the Lifeguards of the Emergency Response and Rescue Corps at the Blue Lagoon in Comino.
He was taken to Mgarr Harbour with the ERRC hydro ambulance Lifesaver 1, where he was taken by a waiting ambulance to the Gozo General Hospital for treatment.
The lifeguarding service at the Blue Lagoon in Comino is possible due to financial support from the Malta Tourist Authority. Support is also being provided by the Ministry for Gozo, Mgarr Marina, Transport Malta, Malta Police, Armed Forces of Malta, and the Civil Protection Department.
