IOI-MOC at the University of Malta has launched, an innovative smart phone application – the Med Jelly one – which will be freely downloadable for Android and iPhone platforms – the app will give all the information needed regarding most of local beaches, including facilities to be found on that beach, sting treatment information and even a jellyfish occurrence forecast.
The app was developed within the Med-JellyRisk project (http://jellyrisk.eu/ [1]) – it will be available on Android within a few weeks time and on iPhone sometime in May.
