Minister Edward Zammit Lewis acknowledged with satisfaction that total arrivals and nights spent in collective accommodation establishments during the month of March increased by 8.5% and 4.9% respectively when compared to the same period last year, in data released by the National Statistics Office today.
Total arrivals and nights spent during the first quarter of the year rose by 10.5% and 2.9% respectively over the corresponding period last year, reaching 262,612 and 1.4 million respectively. The occupancy rate for the quarter under review was estimated at 43.0 per cent, 1.9 percentage points more than last year.
The Minister for Tourism said that “these results are remarkable. Increasing connectivity and accessibility is key to the success of our islands so that more tourists visit Malta.”
The Minister concluded that “it is important that all operators of the industry create and enhance the experience of our tourists that give added value to our product and service.”

Could be more when you have a camp ground and motor homes places at Hondoq .
