The Ministry for Gozo has said that work is underway on the upgrading and cleaning of the Qbajjar Promenade. The Ministry said that this is the first work of this nature for 20 years.
The scenic promenade, which leads from Marsalforn Bay to Qbajjar and Xwejnia, is a popular walk with both locals and tourists during the summer evenings.

It is about time that the ministry of gozo take this action. It is nice that theyclean it up, for every one to enjoy that walk. My question is this. Are they going to paint the railing? From the photo that I saw, it looks awful, and that needs some attention, before the sea eats it and there is nothing to rest on. Any suggestions? Thanks for listening.

At last ! After years of neglect and abandon the authorities have woken up and the promenade is getting a much needed facelift. Re railing no amount of paint can repair it. It needs changing urgently as it is literally falling to pieces. Hope that the fountain will also be repaired.Qbajjar Promenade is one of the few open public spaces on Gozo, Very popular with locals and visitors.Will be nice to see it restored and maintained.
