Day cruise to the Island of Filfla with Flimkien ghal Ambjent Ahar

NGO Flimkien ghal Ambjent Ahar is organising a trip on the sailing vessel Fernandes II for a cruise to the Island of Filfla, located about 5 kilometres off the coast of Malta. “Here, out of the blueness of the Mediterranean, stands this small paradise of Malta’s wildlife, especially birds and small mammals.”

The NGO said that Filfla’s eco – system, which is quite unique, hosts a variety of flora, insects and lizards. As such, it has been named Malta’s natural reserve and by law it is prohibited to lay foot on the Island.

“Our cruise gives you the unique opportunity to see Filfla up close and since it is a marine protected area boats are not normally allowed to approach. During the cruise you will get the chance to learn more about Filfla’s fascinating history and truly unique wildlife, all thanks to our expert marine biologist who has prepared an informative commentary for our special cruise,” FAA said.

!After a welcome drink the boat will depart from Sliema Ferries at 9:30am and later on during the day there a generous buffet taking in stunning views of Filfla Island and surrounding landscapes.
