Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt flew in to Malta this afternoon, to start the shooting of their film By the Sea.
They arrived on a private plane from Nice where the couple had been taking a holiday. The couple travelled straight to Gozo, where filming is due to start early next month on a specially built set at Mgarr ix-Xini.
The bay and surrounding area is closed to the public for the duration of the filming, and is not due to open again until the 10th of November.
‘By the Sea’ has been written, and will be directed by Angelina Jolie..
This will be the first time that the couple appear on screen together following 2005 film Mr and Mrs Smith.

Actually they own a mansion/vineyard in the south of France so I don’t expect they went to Nice for a “holiday”. It is one of the homes the have scattered around the globe.

One prays and hope that the Production Company will return this beauty spot of our special Gozo back to how they found it ? We thank them for choosing this idyllic location and hope when they promote the movie they will also give Gozo a special place in their promotion activity.

At least the water should be cleaner without the sewage being vented by dozens of private boats. Apparently the sea floor is littered with toilet paper.

When we had a yacht (33″) we had a macerated on board and a holding tank

George I snorkel there every year and have never seen the sea floor littered with toilet paper.

We have just returned to England after spending a holiday on delightful Gozo. We were not fully informed of all the places that were closed off and had to cut short our walk on Sunday at the watchtower and go back to Mcgarr harbour by way of the main road. Not pleased. All we knew was that we could not get to ta cent from Xlendi. I understand the dive companies have lost a lot of money this summer
