A reminder that this weekend, Delicata in conjunction with the Nadur Local Council, is holding its annual wine festival in Nadur.
The wine festival gets underway on Friday evening at the Gnien il-Kunsill and continues on Saturday and Sunday evenings, the 30th and 31st of August.
The festival will open at 7.00pm, the last wines will be served at 11.30pm before closing at midnight.
There will also be live entertainment every evening, on Friday it will be Upper Lip and Straight Ahead. Saturday it will be Cash & Band, This Co & Viral Vibe Drums and on Sunday Gozo Boy and Roundhouse Kick
Over twenty quality Gozitan and Maltese wines will be available. People who wish to try the wines need only purchase a souvenir wine glass for €12, which is theirs to keep. Then just show the correct coloured wristband (there will be a different colour each night) and present the glass at any wine stand and visitors can try as many wines, as often as they like.
No glasses or alcohol will be served to anybody under the age of 17.
There will also be a number of food stalls offering some delicious foods like sucking pig, oriental dishes, pasta, beef flambe, crepes, baguettes, rabbit, sweets etc . There is also a seated dining area, ‘The Channel View’ grill.
A shuttle service is being offered at €2 per person for a return trip and public transport will be available between Mgarr Harbour and Nadur throughout the 3 evenings of the festival.
