Last Saturday’s ice-bucket challenge, organised by Ghajnsielem NGOs together with the Ghajnsielem Local Council and a visiting delegation from Tolfa in Italy, managed to attract quite a few participants.
They all welcomed the buckets of iced water on a very hot afternoon, and at the same time raised €575 for Puttinu Cares.
A short video of the event is available to view here [1].

Not to be a preach, but wasn’t the ice bucket challenge originally meant to raise money for the ALS Foundation?

Yes it was and a waste of good water. That charity (ALS) only uses 11% for research anyway, the rest goes to pay its employees etc. Support local charities and don’t waste scarce resources.
