The final preparations are currently underway for this Saturday’s performance of Giuseppe Verdi’s 4-act Grand Opera, Il Trovatore at the Teatru Aurora in Victoria, Gozo.
The Minister for Gozo Dr Anton Refalo, visited the theatre today while rehearsals were taking place. He was welcomed by Dr. Michael Caruana, President of Socjeta’ Filarmonika Leone, along with the soloists, choir and orchestra.
Dr Caruana thanked the Minister and the Government for their cooperation and support, therefore enabling such cultural activities to take place in Gozo.
On his part, the Minister for Gozo promised every assistance to such activities, with the hope that they could increase and possibly be held more often.
The Minister wished all those involved every success for Saturday’s performance of Il Trovatore.
