Commuters on the buses may face delays and disruption on Thursday evening, following a call for a bus drivers strike by the union, The Union Haddiema Maghqudin, between 6,00pm and 8.00pm
The UHM said that it has informed Malta Public Transport that it has ordered employees to stop work for those two hours, during which time they will be addressed by Joseph Vella, who is the Union Secretary General.
The Union said that the strike is over a dispute on Union recognition, saying that it has for months been insisting that the majority of works are members of the UHM.
