Motorcyclist dies following accident in Xewkija this afternoon

A 30-year-old man who lives in Sannat, Gozo lost his life following a traffic accident today, in Mgarr Road, Xewkija at around 12.40pm.

The Police said that preliminary investigations showed that for some reason the 30-year-old lost control of the motorcycle he was driving – a KTM 250 EXC and crashed into an electricity pole.

The man was transferred by ambulance to the Gozo General Hospital where he was certified dead shortly after.

A Magisterial Inquiry was appointed into the case.
