Would you like to help the SMRU [1] (Seismic Monitoring and Research Unit SMRU – University of Malta) conduct its seismic research across Malta?
The Unit said that it s looking for a site to deploy a seismic station in Gozo. This station will form part of the new Malta Seismic Network.
“The ideal requirement for the setup is in an underground place such as a basement (or ‘kantina’) or in a countryside dwelling, and have electrical power supply. Ideally the site is in a quiet location, with not much human activity, and not too close to a main traffic artery.”
