A presentation of ‘Snap – A Photographic Venture,’ the subject of the second edition of Discover Your Talent, was held today. The initiative was organised by the Gozo Cultural Council within the Ministry for Gozo, and launched in May this year.
Students of Form 3 from two state secondary schools and two Church secondary schools were asked to take pictures of Gozo landscapes or photographs of local traditions. The photographs will eventually be put on exhibition to the public.
Today’s event was attended by the students, together with the heads of each participating school, and was chaired by the Minister for Gozo Dr Anton Refalo. Also present were the President and Vice-President of the Cultural Council and the President of the Gozo Photographic Association.
Following an introduction by Manual Grima, the Secretary of the Cultural Council for Gozo, the ceremony continued with a short message by the Minister.
Dr Refalo praised the initiative of the Cultural Council, and encouraged the young people to continue to participate in these types of activities.
The Minister for Gozo then presented a certificate of participation to the students present.
