Seasonally adjusted industrial production increased by 0.5 per cent to 101.2 points in August over the previous month. When compared to August 2014, the index of industrial production adjusted for working days went up by 8.9 per cent, the National Statistics Office said today.
An increase was registered in the production of consumer goods (2.3 per cent). Decreases were registered in the production of capital goods (2.5 per cent), intermediate goods (0.2 per cent) and energy (0.1 per cent).
When compared to the corresponding month last year, the index of industrial production adjusted for working days went up by 8.9 per cent. Increases were registered in the production of consumer goods (17.8 per cent), energy (7.2 per cent), intermediate goods (4.4 per cent) and capital goods (3.0 per cent).
