San Lawrenz Council warns of danger to drivers on Dwejra road

The San Lawrenz Local Council is asking everyone to be aware of the danger on the road which leads down from the village to Dwejra, where there is a steep drop to the side, particularly on the bend.

The Council noted that this danger is imposed on hundreds of cars on a daily basis, not only driven by Gozitans, but also Maltese and foreigners who visit this popular tourist spot.

"The present Local Council has been asking the authorities to install safety crash barriers. So far our request has not yet been answered," it said.

The Local Council said that it continues to stress the urgency and calls for this request "to be given priority before it is too late."
