The Gozo NGOs Association, during its recent Annual General Meeting, elected a new Council Committee consisting of thirteen executive members.
The Association represents its NGO members, which number over 180 in Gozo, whilst striving to strengthen the island's social fabric. It is an independent body, unaffiliated with any political party or fora and is non-profitable.
The interests of the Association it said, is to safeguard those local NGOs, giving them more outreach in the national scene, help them to acquire funds (both EU and governmental), to facilitate services given to them and represent them within domestic and international platforms.
The composition of the newly elected Council of the Gozo NGOs Association is as follows:
