The restoration of the Ghajnsielem church parvis and square is now underway, work started on the project this week. The agreement was signed in August 2014 between the Parish of Our Lady of Loreto and the Ministry for Gozo.
This project will include the replacement of asphalt paving, improved accessibility and installation of LED powered lights among others. It will improve accessibility for people with disabilities and reduce energy consumption.
The Ministry for Gozo said that it is financing the necessary material for this project at an estimated cost of around €106,000.

Please keep all the trees. The square is an important place for roosting birds.

I agree with Sarah Springham. The trees should remain as they are now.
