The Gozo Tourism Association is organising for the first time ‘Tourism Worker of the Year – Gozo 2008.’ This will be an Annual Award bestowed to the worker in the tourism sector on Gozo, who distinguishes himself/herself in the performance of his/her duties in the touristic sector.
The main objectives of this award are to acknowledge the service given by the employee during the performance of his/her duties in the Gozitan touristic sector, and to acknowledge the employee who with his/her performance and his/her qualities was a role model to his collegues.
Another aim is to reward the employee who through his/her performance was not only enhancing his/her place of work, but was also instrumental in improving the touristic industry on Gozo. This award is also intended to recognise the employee who with the performance of his/her duties was enticing confidence in a career in the tourism sector.
All nominations will be adjudicated by an independent panel formed of five members. This award will be conferred to the selected person during a special event which will be held on Friday 12th December, 2008. The Gozo Tourism Association urges its members as well as members of the public to nominate any worker or workers who in their opinion qualify for this award.
