The Gozo Live/Gozo College creative writing competition closed on the 30th of March. The organisers said that a large number of entries were received from many schools in Gozo.
These are now being judged by the panel. There are two categories of entries: the junior groups from students 11 and under and the senior group from students 12 years and older.
Students were asked to use their imagination and to write creatively on their chosen subject. This has certainly been done and the judges are having a difficult task in selecting the best entries. Leading Maltese publishers will be invited to look at the winning entries and to meet the winners.
The organisers said that it is hoped to hold a special event in early May when the winners will be announced and awards will made.
