The Gozo Live/Gozo College creative writing competition ended in March. Students were asked for imaginative entries and the organisers said that they certainly received them!
There were stories and poems and a few essays and the range of subjects was vast. From dreams, to ancient Egypt, to ballerinas, to exams, to killings, to animal stories.
Students gave the judges a difficult task. But finally winners have been chosen in the 2 age categories, as well as runners-up.
There have had to be a few extra runners-up because of the high standard. Originally, the organisers said that they had wanted to have only 2 runners-up in each age group but this has had to be increased.
The results will be announced at a special event on Monday, the 6th of June starting at 5.30pm at San Lawrenz Primary School.
All competition entrants, their parents and other family members are invited to attend. "If you entered don't miss it because you may have won a prize."
Every entrant will also receive back their work with the judge's comments.
