The Parliamentary Secretariat for Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Rights has condemned the attack by vandals who destroyed 220 bee hives located between Gharb and Ghasri, Gozo.
The hives were set on fire, destroying 250,000 bees. The damage has been estimated at € 12,000.
Parliamentary Secretary Roderick Galdes, said this attack, which took place in the past few days, is not just an attack on a private company that was investing in agriculture in our country, but also a vandal attack on the environment at the same time.
The Secretariat appealed to anyone who has any information to contact the Police investigating this matter.
