Calling all Thespians… A new amateur dramatic society is being created on Gozo. The organisers said that actors who can read, speak and project English scripts will therefore be required as the mainstay of the project.
Experience (perhaps with another amateur dramatic group or society) would be an advantage, but confidence and enthusiasm would be just as welcome. Age is not a problem in this concept.
"Naturally, a new drama society also needs people who can design and build stage props; it needs helpers of all kinds… stage management, theatre management, financial control, poster designers…"
The organisers added, "we are starting from scratch, here, and we need all the help – on a voluntary basis – that we can muster."
So if you have done it before, or if you are looking for a new hobby that members of the public might actually applaud…
