President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca attended the inauguration of the San Lawrenz square regeneration project on Saturday evening, which included a programme of entertainment.
The President was accompanied by her husband Mr Edgar Preca. Also present for the occasion were the Minister for Gozo Dr Anton Refalo, Parliamentary Secretary Dr Justyne Caruana, San Lawrenz Mayor Noel Formosa and other distinguished guests, together with village residents.
At the same occasion Fr Michael Borg, Mgr Daniel Xerri, Fr Ignatius Borg and Lucienne Haber were conferred with the honour of Honorary Citizens.
The President and Mr Preca are in Gozo this weekend visiting villages as part of L-Istrina Gozo events 2016.
