‘Toni Portelli: L-Ghalliem li habbu kulhadd’ (Toni Portelli: The Teacher loved by one and all ) is the name of a new publication that commemorates and celebrates the life of Mr Anthony Portelli of Nadur, an English Language and History teacher at the Sacred Heart Minor Seminary School of Victoria, Gozo.
Toni Portelli passed away tragically on the 23rd of December 2015, survived by his wife Maria, and his children Matthew, Maria and Rebecca, two of which are persons with special needs.
The 48-page publication was published by Portelli Print of Nadur and features all poems, messages and letters addressed to the late Mr Portelli and/or his wife and family.
The book can be obtained directly from his wife Maria (contact number: 21563691 or from the Sacred Heart Minor Seminary Secondary School (contact number: 21556479) at the price of €5 only.
All proceeds will go to the Seminary School. The book contains some photos in full-colour and it is meant to be a tribute to a much loved and early missed teacher whose first anniversary from his death will take place a couple of days before Christmas.
A Mass for the repose of his soul will be celebrated at the Chapel of the Convent of the Franciscans Sisters of the Sacred Heart at Pjazza Dun Martin Portelli, Nadur on Friday the 23rd of December at 3.30pm. Everybody is welcome!
