Front Harsien ODZ has said that during 2017 it will keep mobilising citizens for the protection of ODZ.
“During 2017, we will keep working for the legal protection of ODZ land through a social contract between citizens and the state.”
“Front Harsien ODZ will be closely following the planning process for the private University on ODZ land at Zonqor. We believe that an alternative site should be found for this development.”
The Front added, “we will also be closely following the Paceville master plan process as well as the relocation of fuel dispensing facilities and applications to develop ODZ residential homes in Santa Lucija, Birgu and Naxxar. We believe that a national study for alternative sites should be carried out before committing ODZ land at Has-Saptan for the relocation.”
Front Harsien ODZ concluded by saying that “we will also be following the large number of small ODZ applications in view of their cumulative impact on ODZ land.”
