Tomorrow morning locals as well as visitors to Gozo will be able to experience the sort of traditional artisan market that used to be held in localities scattered all around Gozo and Malta.
Another edition of Swejjaq, is being organised by the San Lawrenz Local Council -Swejjaq is the Maltese word meaning a small market.
The Council’s intention is to transform the main village square into a traditional Sunday morning market, which will be held between 8.00am and 1.00pm.
Visitors will be able to enjoy typical Gozitan food. Vegetables and farm products will be on sale from Gozitan farmers, crafts and other locally made products.
There will be games for children. And a new attraction this year will be a ‘Selfie Station.” So come with your family and friends, grab a prop and strike a pose!
The Council said that all photos will then be uploaded on its facebook page. The person with most likes will be a winner of a hamper.
There will be something for the whole family to enjoy and the Council is encouraging everyone to go along and enjoy something different!
