Din L-Art Helwa has welcomed the news that the Planning Authority is currently investigating [1] the application which DLH said, is “posing a serious threat” to the Ghar Gherduf Catacombs in Kercem.
The environmental NGO also noted that the Planning Authority said there are grounds for the permit to be withdrawn.
Din L-Art Helwa concluded by saying that “it is the duty of all statutory bodies to protect our precious heritage, and whilst errors occur, it is most important that urgent remedial action is taken before it is too late.”
