On Friday, the 19th of December, inside the basketball pavilion at Ta’ Qali, a boxing tournament organised by the Maltese Boxing Board of Control is to be held.
Maltese boxers will be competing against English boxers, with the main bout being between Malta’s heavy weight champion Billy Coritio and English boxer John Jennings, they will be competing for the E.B.U title.
Corito has been training very hard for this title, he was to be seen every day training hard, either at Bertu’s Gym or at Dione boxing club. Coritio has also just been given his professional license, so if he wins this title he can go out of Malta to train to give him more experience.
