It was fifty years ago, in 1967, that a group of Gozitan and Maltese students embarked on a 2-year residential teachers’ training college.
Some of those students from 1967 met recently for a reunion to mark their entry into Mater Admirabilis Training College – at Tal-Virtú, which had been their home for the two years, and is now the Archbishop’s Seminary.
Mass was celebrated by the Rector, Fr Albert Buhagiar, a past student of one of the group’s “dear departed ex-students.” A reception followed in the College Refectory with a high tea and a finger food.
The group were able to reminisce about the days spent there and the anecdotes of those years were again brought to life.
