The Bank of Valletta is supporting local artist Richard Saliba in setting up an art exhibition entitled ‘Vanishing Landscapes’ at the Auberge d’Italie in Merchants Street, Valletta. The exhibition will be inaugurated on Friday, the 9th of January and will subsequently be open to the public until the 30th of January.
Karl Spiteri, Manager Corporate Branding and Quality at Bank of Valletta presented the sponsorship to Mr. Saliba who thanked the bank for the support it continues to show to local artists.
The works being exhibited offer the general public a unique opportunity to appreciate the Maltese landscape from different perspectives, allowing the viewer to appreciate beauty of our environment.
After pursuing his academic career in painting, both locally and abroad, the artist set up his first art exhibition in 1975. His works were also appreciated in numerous countries where he had the opportunity to exhibit his work, such as in exhibitions held at the Unesco Headquarters, Paris and Kensington Town Hall, London among others.
