Replying to a parliamentary question put by Labour MP Justyne Caruana, the Justice Minister, Dr Carmelo Mifsud Bonnici, said that during 2007 and 2008 there were eight persons who were arraigned in the Gozo courts on charges of child abuse.
The Minister said that one case involved a three-year-old and the others involved children between the ages of 12 and 15. Four of the cases involved the same minor.
