Pro-BMX rider Daniel Wedemeijer paid a visit to Gozo during his time on the Maltese Islands, where he has been taking part in another edition of the BMX Xmas Fest organised by BMX Malta at the Warehouse 086.
Daniel wanted to head back to Gozo to once again ride the famous “natural BMX park” at Reqqa Point in Zebbug.
“I travelled to Gozo for the first time 5 years ago to ride the legendary rock ramps. Somehow I was never satisfied with what I did that time. So coming back 5 years later and doing what I wanted to do feel like a closing chapter,” he said.
Daniel was born in Amsterdam in 1990 and started his career in 2013. He got his first BMX bike in 2004 from his parents and said that “since that first day I have loved riding my bike.”
He has taken part in the likes of BMX Worlds in Antwerp and FISE WORLD Montpellier, and his talent earned him a spot in the Nitro Circus crew for the 2013 European Tour.
