Azure Window – New 7 Wonders of Nature voting

Today the agency that is responsible for the competition ‘The New 7 Wonders of Nature’, informed San Lawrenz Local Council that the site of the Azure Window is now officially part of the competition that can lead the Azure Window to be declared as one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature.

This would mean more touristic advertisement for the islands. Mayor Noel Formosa said that this event is not only of great importance to our locality but also for our country. He urged everyone to unite as a country and to do their best to urge others to vote for this site.

The San Lawrenz Local Council is urging all those who have an email address to cast their vote and to pass the word to their relatives and friends so this nomination will have the chance to place as one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature. Thus everyone will be helping towards promoting the Azure Window, and many people could appreciate this ‘wonder’ in our country.

To vote for the Azure Window as one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature one should visit the link http://www.new7wonders.com/nature/en/nominees/europe/c/AzureWindow/ [1].

The Local Council is being supported for this nomination by the Parliamentary Secretary for Public Dialogue and Information in the Office of the Prime Minister, the Gozo Ministry, the Malta Tourism Authority and by various other organisations.

I have already voted for the Azure Window. I just hope that if and when the judges turn up and are taking in it’s beauty they don’t turn slightly to their right and say what the hell is that thing?

I have also just voted and fully support The Azure Window as being one of the 7 Wonders of nature. I also back up what james has said about the Concrete frame that poisons the horizon, MEPA you need to act quickly and get rid of it before the judging begins, would hate to be in your shoes if you do nothing about it and the window fails to be voted in!!!!

Yes, I too, have voted, but MEPA definitely needs to get going and clear the mess away as soon as possible. Refer to my letter for details!
