Next week, the village of Sannat will be celebrating the feast of St. Margaret the Martyr, during which, there will be a concert for the occasion as part of the programme of events [1].
The St Margaret Band of Sannat will be presenting its Annual Symphonic Concert on Wednesday, the 24th of July, starting at 9.30pm in St Margaret’s Square.
The band said that this year’s concert will be focusing more on contemporary works, mainly 20th century compositions and other recent works, with the grand finale featuring synchronised fireworks.
The band, under the baton of Mro George Apap, will perform pieces by American composers James Swearingen and Leroy Anderson; Canadian composer Stephan Moccio; selections from latest movies: A Star is Born, Mary Poppins Returns and Lion King; and other pop and rock hits by Queen and Jon Bon Jovi with the participation of guest singer Ozzy Lino.
This event is presented with the support of the Ministry of Gozo, Sannat Local Council and the Band of Valletta. Free entrance. Seating is on a first come first served basis.
