With the Santa Marija holiday week about to get underway, it is the perfect opportunity for many people to give up some of their time and donate blood.
There is always a need for blood donations and the National Blood Transfusion Service said that with the hot summer months now upon us the demand can become even greater.
The Service is holding a blood donation session in Gozo and is inviting the public – if their health permits- to donate blood this coming Tuesday the 13th of August.
Donations can be made at the District Health Centre in Xewkija. The session will be 1:00pm to 5:00pm (last registration until 5:00pm).
It is important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand.
