There need for blood is something that can happen to any of us, at any time and the National Blood Transfusion Service said that it is showing its support for the Puttinu Cares Marathon and the Fun Walk in Gozo.
The Puttinu Cares Foundation helps children who are suffering with cancer, as well as their families. The Service said that in addition to financial grants, blood donations are also gratefully received to help those in need, particularly children.
It is therefore calling on Gozitans to please consider donating blood during a session in Gozo this Sunday, the 15th of September.
The District Health Centre in Xewkija will be taking donations between 8:00am to 1:00pm (last registration until 1:00pm).
The Centre is located in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.
The Service reminded that it is important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand.
