Work is to be carried out on a number of roads in Gozo, through an investment of €2.5 million.
The announcement was made by Minister for Gozo Justyne Caruana, who said that as part of Project Gozo – roads in your locality, the island is seeing substantial improvements in infrastructure.
“The work on roads announced today is part of a complete programme to address the challenge of Gozo’s infrastructure,” said Minister Caruana. “This time we again adopted the same process where the selected roads were identified after meetings with Gozitan local councils to prioritise the needs of residents,” said the Minister.
She added that, “this investment is a clear sign of the government’s commitment to rebuilding roads that have been abandoned for years so that we have safe roads in Gozo that can be enjoyed by both the residents and those who visit our island.”
