The Health Ministry has advised that on Friday evening a 19-year Maltese woman tested positive for Covid-19, the thirteenth case for Malta.
The teenager had travelled to Brussels between the 4th and 8th of March. She first developed symptoms on the 11th of March. The authorities said that the woman’s health condition is good.
The Health Ministry, in more positive news, also advised that one of the first cases to have tested positive for the virus, is now in quarantine at home. The woman had two negative tests that were carried out within 24-hours of each other.
The authorities once again appealed for everyone to follow the directions given by the government and health authorities advice, including to respect the mandatory quarantine, do not attend mass activities, only travel when necessary, and for the elderly to remain in their homes as much as possible.
