The Ministry for Gozo has advised that it is issuing a number of temporary permits for workers who travel between the islands daily to speed up the screening process.
This is being done in view of the situation related to the Covid-19 virus outbreak and restrictions on travel between the islands, which come into effect tomorrow. [1]
The Ministry for Gozo said that it wishes to notify all Gozitan workers who work in Malta or vice-versa, and who have not yet received an email from the Ministry with a temporary permit to travel between islands, to send their details (name, surname, ID Card Identity and Address of Work) on the following email: subsidies.mgoz@gov.mt [2]
The Identity Card must be in the possession of the individual who will be making the trip, the Ministry said.
“We ask for your cooperation and remind everyone that mandatory measures have now been introduced to deter non-essential travel,” said the Ministry.
For further information please call the Ministry for Gozo on 22100265.
These permits are for workers who cross on a daily basis to speed up the process. Other trips that are permissible and do not need such passes will be screened at the terminal.
