Between Friday and Saturday, 4 people were each fined €100 during the rounds conducted by Police to ensure that there are no gatherings in public places involving more than 3 persons.
Police advised that these inspections are set to intensify further today (Sunday).
The authorities said that for the second day in a row, no one was caught breaching obligatory quarantine during any of the 218 inspections that were conducted across Gozo and Malta in those 24-hours.
The appeal by the authorities remains for everyone to be responsible and cooperate with the directives issued.
No food and drink establishments were caught breaking the directives to remain closed.
