Police issue a number of fines on Sunday, including for motoring offences

Today, Police issued fines to 96 people of €100 each during patrols to ensure that there are no groups of more than 3 people in public places.

To date 646 persons have been fined in breach of being in groups of more than 3 people in public.

56 fines were also issued by Police on Sunday for speeding, as well as 4 fines for people driving a vehicle without a registration plate.

A food establishment in Marsaxlokk was fined €3,000 after an inspection found that it had a bench outside on the street with 2 clients eating on it. The authorities said that the establishment was supposed to be only serving take-away or deliveries.
