Malta International Airport has welcomed the Government’s decision to reopen the airport on the 1st of July and said that it is in the process of re-evaluating the passenger journey and introducing mitigating measures at each passenger touch point.
In a statement, MIA appealed to prospective travellers for their cooperation in maintaining a safe environment at all times.
It also said that “while the initial flight schedule will be limited to a number of selected markets, the reopening constitutes a first important step towards the recovery of the local aviation industry and tourism sector.”
