Mikiel Anton Vassalli College has advised that the schools forming part of this College Network will be receiving online applications from new students for the academic year 2020-2021 next week, this includes the School of Visual and Performing Arts at Xewkija, Gozo.
Various subjects are offered at all levels: from Beginner levels to those leading to a Diploma Level (MQF 1 – MQF 5).
The wide variety of training offered at these specialised schools for the Visual and Performing Arts Education can be found by consulting the prospectus [1].
Head of College Network Mr Victor Galea said that “following last year’s positive experience, when due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the schools’ closures, most of the teaching had to be conducted in a remote way (online), as from this scholastic year, some of these schools will continue to offer online courses on a number of courses among which are Art History & Appreciation, and other courses about Creative Approaches to Drawing and Painting.”
“Other training that will be offered online include subjects related to Theatre/Drama as well as those related to the History of Music. It is believed that these initiatives will provide an opportunity to 16+ students to follow such training from the comfort of their home and at the times most suitable to them,” he said.

It is expected that courses in Visual and Performing Arts will commence during the first week of October in the respective schools in Gozo as above, and in Malta: School of Music at Hamrun, School of Art at Valletta, School of Dance and Drama at Blata l-Bajda.
