A 91-year old man and a 73-year old woman have both died while being positive with Covid-19, they are the 26th and 27th victims to die with the virus.
The Ministry for Health in a statement on Thursday, said that they were residents in two separate homes for the elderly.
It said that the man tested positive for Covid-19 on the 14th of September, he continued to be treated until he passed away late last night.
The woman tested positive for Covid-19 on the 15th of September, she continued to be treated until she died overnight, the Ministry said.
The Ministry said that both of them had “further health conditions.”
The Health Ministry, while offering its condolences to their families, reiterated its appeal for the public to continue to follow the public health guidelines, including frequent hand washing, social distancing and wearing a mask.
