Controversial Ta’ Muxi Villa application definitvely dismissed

Qala Local Council has expressed its satisfaction that the controversial villa application ^[1] of Joseph Portelli at Ta’ Muxi has been definitively dismissed today.

The Qala LC and Din L-Art Helwa were represented at the at the hearing before the Environment and Planning Appeals Tribunal. by Dr Claire Bonello.

In a statement, the Qala Local Council said that the Tribunal confirmed that the application had been dismissed and that the period for further appeals had lapsed. In view of this the Tribunal took no further cognisance of the case.

Qala Mayor Paul Buttigieg commenting afterwards, said that the Council welcomed the decision with satisfaction and declared that it would not stop the resistance to other applications which were ruining Qala and Gozo forever.
