Five more people have died while being positive with Covid-19, including one in Gozo, the Health Ministry has said, with the number of lives lost to the virus now at 122.
The Gozo case, was a 76-year old man, who tested positive for Covid-19 on the 6th of November and passed away yesterday at the Gozo General Hospital.
The second person was a 75-year old woman who was confirmed positive for Covid-19 on the 11th of November and passed away yesterday at the Good Samaritan Long-Term Care Facility.
The third person was an 83-year old man, who confirmed positive for Covid-19 on the 2nd of November and passed away earlier today at the Good Samaritan Long-Term Care Facility.
The fourth person was a 82-year old man, who confirmed positive on the 11th of November and passed away earlier today at the Mater Dei Hospital.
The fifth person to lose his life, was an 88-year old man, who tested positive for the virus on the 16th of November and also passed away earlier today at the Mater Dei Hospital.
The Ministry of Health, while offering its condolences to the relatives of the families, called on the public to continue to follow the preventive measures; wearing of masks, social distancing and hand hygiene.
