Three more patients have died while being positive with Covid-19, the Health Ministry said. With the number of lives lost to the virus now at 219.
The first was an 83-year old man, who tested positive for Covid-19 on the 5th of December and passed away yesterday at Mater Dei Hospital.
The second was a 67-year old man, who was confirmed positive for the virus 26th of December and passed away earlier today at Mater Dei Hospital.
The third patient, was an 87-year old woman, who tested positive for the virus on the 17th of December and passed away earlier today at Mater Dei Hospital.
The Ministry of Health, while offering its condolences to the relatives of the families, called on the public to continue to follow the preventive measures “so that we can protect the most vulnerable in our society” – This includes wearing of masks, social distancing and hand hygiene.
