The Social Care Standards Authority said that it is coordinating the distribution of Covid-19 vaccines among the private residential homes for older persons.
It went on to say that it is working in close collaboration with the Local Enforcement System Agency to deliver the Covid-19 vaccines to old people’s homes “in a timely manner.”
This process is being delivered in collaboration with the Primary Healthcare and with support from the Active Ageing and Community Care Department, it said. At the same time, SCSA said that it “continues to coordinate the ongoing swabbing process within the older persons’ homes and participates in the contract tracing exercise.”
The Authority concluded by saying that it is taking “all the necessary measures to safeguard the most vulnerable, while at the same time monitoring the quality of services provided within homes and licensing their operations.”
