The Gozo Tourism Association has welcomed today’s announcement of support for the tourism sector by the waiving of all licenses and fees payable to the Malta Tourism Authority.
In a statement, the GTA said, “this measure announced by Minister for Tourism Clayton Bartolo, will be alleviating some of the fixed expenses which the tourism sector faces, even though it is not in an operation mode.”
It added that the renouncing of all these licenses by the MTA is an encouraging measure, aimed directly to the tourism operators, who had to face really tough times during the past fourteen months.
The Association appealed to other Authorities and Government entities to “follow this example and waive operating licenses and fees payable to them by tourism licensed operators.”
